Our instructors

The people
behind the playlist.

Our instructors build every BED Debden class around the music — cueing to the beat, reading the room and pushing the energy from the first track to the last.

    Why reformer?

Because it's honest. The resistance tells you immediately whether you're in control or just moving. Watching someone find that control — then build on it week after week — is the whole reason I teach.

    What's the one thing you'd tell a first-timer?

Forget intensity on day one. Get your form and your breath right, and the strength arrives faster than you'd believe.

Go-to kitThe Pilates ball. Smallest piece of equipment in the room, changes an entire class.

    Teaches

What should someone expect from your class?

High energy from the first track to the last. Precise cueing, relentless encouragement, and a pace that doesn't let you drift. You'll work hard — but you'll leave feeling capable, not broken.

What keeps people coming back to BED Debden?

The people. Regulars know each other's names, save each other's favourite reformer, and cheer through the final thirty seconds. That's not something you can manufacture — it either exists in a studio or it doesn't.

Go-to kitThe 1.5kg dumbbells. Light enough to move fast, heavy enough that you'll feel it tomorrow.

What keeps you coming back to BED Debden?

How quickly clients turn into friends. I get to know people class after class and watch their confidence build — that's the part that makes this job feel like more than a job.

How do you get yourself ready before a class?

Coffee, a final playlist check, and a lap of the studio floor before the doors open. Non-negotiable.

Go-to kitThe ankle weights — small but they make every leg set burn that bit more.

What should someone expect from your class?

Fast, structured and set to the music. I'll push you, but every movement has a reason behind it — you'll always know what you're working and why.

What's the best moment in a class for you?

When the room locks in. Everyone focused, everyone breathing hard, and you feel the energy shift. It never gets old.

Go-to kitThe Pilates ring. I'll find a reason to work it into almost any class.
